“With my mother in mind, I created this piece as a totem or a space holder or an object to capture those small moments of my mom, my family home in Greeley Colorado, the sun and the dry smell of late summer in midday. We had a decorative barberry bush on the side of the house. I collected the berries. Over collected. I had a pile. My mom told me to not touch them, that they were poisonous.”

This sculpture is a collection of red-orange matte and glossy high temperature glazes on porcelain with a terracotta core. The entire cluster is tactile and shifts when moved. Dimensions will vary – 18 x 15 x 14 in.
