Porcelain cluster is a sculpture small enough to hold in your hand at about 3 inches in diameter, a piece of art for a desk or dresser and strong enough to be handled or left resting on a stack of books. Velvety green flocking adds to the tactile experience. Each pod in the cluster is hollow, thrown individually on the wheel, then the pods are combined and fired, nesting in a bed of silica sand, to vitrified cone 10 with an unglazed surface, then flocking is applied.
